The One City Basketball League provides players with workshops and discussions that span financial literacy, art-based therapy, entrepreneurship, and trauma-informed mental health resources to provide additional support to participants.

THE BOOK

“Interrupting Violence”

Interrupting Violence follows Cobe as he undertakes this redemption journey, offering new hope for the nation’s most violent communities. Cobe takes readers into an often misunderstood and misrepresented aspect of the Black experience in America. As the country wrestles with the inequities exposed by the coronavirus pandemic and the complex intersections of urban violence, racial issues, police brutality, and poverty in the aftermath of George Floyd’s murder, this book provides an inspiring blueprint. Cobe’s story demonstrates how the country can resolve the issues plaguing our inner cities. https://www.interruptingviolence.com/

OUR PROGRAMS

Annual Redemption Awards

Transform Justice has launched the 1st Annual Redemption Awards, which will be received by twelve individuals who exemplify a need for recognition of their own redemption, beginning in 2024. These individuals can be nominated for their stories of redemption, serving as role models to our communities and modeling violence-prevention behavior.

Help the Transform Justice Mission

Violence is a public health issue and must be treated as such. While it affects all individuals worldwide, it is important to note that it can be stopped through furthering education and opportunities, starting with our youth. Through incentivized programs, in addition to One City, our involvement with Chicago’s South and West Sides communities will help the youth prosper, further understand the importance of violence prevention, and become engaged in fostering peaceful communities for future generations.
